It is an elbow. Two together can create an offset of approx. 10cm

As with all vitreous pipe the bottom end narrows to a lesser diameter to enable insertion into other pieces of pipe (male is always on top). Key reason is that any condensation that trickles down inside pipe cannot escape.

Vitreous pipe 5"

It's the first time I've used Stovefitters warehouse.
Absolutely brilliant.
They know their stuff.
Everything in stock, delivered promptly,well done.
The 30 degree 5" virtuous pipe was bought as the arada inset I was fitting has a fixed 30 degree spigot.
Spigot is fixed, so getting my mate to drop the linner down the clay gas flue, I was able to get my hand inside the spigot, inside the stove.
We pre drilled and selftappered this into place.
This pipe is dead accurate, well made, strong enough .
Fire proof cement the joint in this case.

Excellent service and communication

This is a return purchase for me from Stovefitters. Having been very satisfied a couple of years back I was pleased to find them going strong and able to draw on their experience and help again. Following super advice including specific parts not listed, they got me all sorted. There was a blip with their suppliers delivery, which with simple communication it was all resolved quickly, by sending the correct part. To compensate an upgraded part was given as a replacement.
