As with all vitreous pipe the bottom end narrows to a lesser diameter to enable insertion into other pieces of pipe (male is always on top). Key reason is that any condensation that trickles down inside pipe cannot escape.

Fast service and a great price

Products came promptly on the day we expected them and were very well packaged to prevent damaged. The pieces connected well together and have a matt finish which goes well with the stove. The 45 degree elbow with soot door looks clean and simple to remove via just two screws.We used two 600mm pieces of pipe and a 45 degree elbow to fit our free standing log burner into an external chimney breast.
