Usually fitted directly to a stove's 5" collar with fireproof webbing. Allows 6" flue pipe to be fitted onto a 5" stove. Some stoves demand a 6" chimney even if they are 5" collar (rare).

Allows 6" pipe to be used on a 5" collar stove (rarely done but is a viable method). Top tip: No fire cement or glue of any kind is used when connecting vitreous pipe to vitreous pipe - it is just push-fit. When to use fire cement on flue joints? Use the SEARCH function and type "sealing flue joints".
