Description

Very large glass, huge firebox, highest quality and easily outsmarting many of its competitors. Single control. As of the time of writing The DG Ivar is the most controllable stove we have tested and possibly the finest stove on the market today.

Julian, owner of Stovefitter's and author of The Stovefitter's Manual, has an Ivar stove (as do both of his neighbours and the owner's of the local village pub who have two!)

The Ivar 5 and 8 were designed in 2014 and launched at the Hearth and Home exhibition in Harrogate. They were an instant success for the Dutch company DG (Dik Guerts).

I purchased a Dik Guerts Ivar 5 stove from Stovefitters and the process was straightforward and the service excellent. First impressions Dik Geurts Ivar 5

First impressions after fitter lit “a small fire” to check the installation: As expected, it’s amazing. The difference from my old Stovax is surprisingly large. The control works easily and you can pick anything from window fun of flame to gentle flicker. It looks good. The fitter sprayed the stovepipe with the paint that came supplied which was graphite, but it looked different from the matt black stove so I resprayed it. Stovefitters were very helpful on the phone and the stove arrived, as they warned it might, a day later than booked, but in time for the fitter. Having appreciated the wonderful website and clear excellent information, I had to order from Stovefitters Warehouse - thanks so much!
