During the winter of 2018/19 Stovefitter's went in search of a modern, large screen, Ecodesign wood burning stove that we could retail between £599 and £799. We tested numerous models and it was the Firewire range that you now see that came out on top.
Manager Arran who runs the showroom and warehouse has a Firewire 400. The Firewire is a wood-only stove with a large viewing window and simple yet effective single control that keeps the glass cleaner than any stove we sell - including models costing many hundreds of pounds more.
Please note that the small retainer that prevents ash falling from the stove no longer has the slots shown in our images. The small bar was re-designed to prevent fine ash seeping through the slots.
